Incorporating environmental, health, safety and sustainability (EHSS) into all areas of the company is vital in order to sustain and improve the areas in which we live, work and do business. Electrochem’s long-term EHSS vision is to grow and operate responsibly with no accidents, incidents or harm to the environment or society. We are committed to our EHSS vision through operational ownership and yearly goals to ensure all of our associates work together and are an integral part of reducing risk and driving world-class EHSS performance.

Electrochem monitors compliance to all applicable regulations and industry standards. Some examples of regulations and standards we adhere to include:

  • STP Update Subscriber

Electrochem also serves as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the battery industry. We provide important input into proposed regulations that may impact the industry and assist in the education of those who help draft these important regulations. We often serve as an industry representative to government agencies, dangerous goods panels, and trade associations. Electrochem is currently a council member for both the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association (PRBA) and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
